There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to new digital cameras this year. I subscribe to a few different photography magazines and they keep me up on new additions to the digital SLR family. Of course, my preferences are Nikon and Canon but there are many good brands available and it all comes down to preference.

Whatever you decide to buy be sure you choose the right camera for your needs. Aside from that, you will want to consider a high resolution, which enables larger pictures to be printed and a telephoto zoom lens for that close up shot when you have to take it from a distance. You should have at least two storage cards, one to carry with you and one in your camera. Be sure you pick a camera with a good ISO range (100-1600 or higher) that way your set for any lighting condition. Last tip, remember the higher the Mega Pixel, the larger the picture, and the better the quality.
